if we were villains by m.l. rio – book review || dark academia, shakespearean societies, and a new favorite.

*clears throat* As always, I find it a never-ending need to explain my absence from this blog, but rest assured this time I think I’m here to stay for good.

Asian Book Recommendations 101 || a list of amazing and diverse reads you should check out!!!

I love seeing representation in books.

Now I don’t really talk a lot about my heritage on here, *cough* mainly because I’m not that connected with it *cough* , but I absolutely adore it when I see diverse representation in media. I do indeed have those Asian roots embedded in me (specifically Indian) and growing up I didn’t exactly see myself in the characters I read about.

But hello, hi, and welcome! I’m currently behind on reading, school, and everything else in general, so I have decided to reminisce about the past few months when my life was NOT A MESS.

Things I don’t like about my favourite books|| unpopular opinions ahead, also hi I’m not dead ( hopefully )

Yes as you can see I’ve finally decided to emerge from the depths of the dark dingy corner of my room, abandon the tub of ice cream I was devouring and finally sit down and attempt to write a post once again…

As clearly seen from the month-long breaks between my posts, by now we all know that I’m a huge fan of unannounced hiatuses. But ahem as is the reason for all inconveniences in life, this hiatus was once again caused by school… specifically FINALS (gasp), and did they go well??

Q&A post for 100 followers! + liFe uPdatEs ✨|| ft. why have I disappeared from the internet for so long? spoiler alert – the answer is school. ||

Surprised to see me here? I am too. Apparently I suck at blogging and keeping a schedule for myself. I remember the good old days when I actually used to post once or twice a week, *sigh* I’m afraid to say those days are long forgotten. BuT to make amends, I’m going to try to post at least once a week( fridays or tuesdays) and try to get better at replying to comments on time. I mean chances are none of these are going to happen, but oh well at least you can say I tried 😀

Best and Worst Reads of 2021

I think 2021 was a pretty great reading year for me. My reading became a lot more diverse and I discovered a lot of my favourite books this year. Also, of course, I started this blog, and when interacting with others I’ve read picked up some great reads. I also read quite a few books which I may or may not have hated, so today I thought maybe I could write this post compiling some of my most memorable reads of 2021.

A Fashionably Late November Wrap-Up

hiiiiiiii, helloo and welcome! November was admittedly a pretty weird month for me ~ the beginning of it being average, the middle being kinda bad but the end being pretty great! So anyways without further ado let’s see whether I actually did anything this month. P.S .I added movies and music to this wrap up as well otherwise with just books it would be pathetically short.

Clockwork Angel by Cassandra Clare – Book Review

Can you believe it? Am I actually posting regularly-ish for once?(ahem by the time this is posted I’m not at all on schedule) This post was made possible because of me not studying for my exam – which is in like a day and I am NOT prepared and I may be having an internal breakdown, but oh well. Anyways I recently read Clockwork Angel and I’m obsessseeeddddd, so without further ado let us get onto my thoughts
